    Bishop Lisa M. Weah, D.Min., CGE, is Senior Pastor of New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland, where she is committed to strengthening families, developing leaders, fostering transformative ministry, and building stronger communities. 



  • he serves on the Council of Bishops of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship as Bishop of Auxiliary Bishops and General Overseers, is a Trustee and adjunct faculty member at United Theological Seminary, and serves on state, community, and nonprofit governing boards dedicated to advancing education, child welfare, and community development.



  • Widely recognized for bridging biblical scholarship with practical application, Bishop Weah is the author of Leading with a Left Hand. Her voice has helped shape important conversations on faith, leadership, grief, and community transformation through preaching, teaching, writing, and collaborative leadership.

Pastoral Counseling & Care

Our goals in Pastoral Counseling are to guide and help individuals discover Christ-centered answers to a wide range of personal, relational, financial or other challenges. We have partnered with trained counselors, social workers, and other health professionals to service persons seeking guidance for a variety of issues including marital and family relationships, communication and intimacy, premarital counseling, parenting, grief and loss, anger and bitterness, managing stress & anxiety, healing from past hurts and abuse, reentry from incarceration, spiritual discouragement, and additional mental health and social services.
