    Bishop Lisa M. Weah is a woman full of purpose, passion and power! As Senior Pastor of the New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland, she has embraced becoming not only the third Pastor in the church's history, but also its first female pastor. 

     

    With a team of growing servant leaders and volunteers, she has partnered with various agencies including Johns Hopkins, the University of Maryland, and numerous Faith Based and Community Coalitions, to feed, employ and empower hundreds of persons within the the Sandtown-Winchester Community and throughout the DMV. Desiring to ensure the mental and spiritual health of her congregation and community, she has launched several initiatives, including: the NBBC Empowerment Institute; the Dream Life CDC; the Dream Café and the Dreamscape Small Business Entrepreneurial Showcase.



  • She serves on the Council of Bishops of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, the Executive Council of the Kingdom Association of Covenant Pastors, and the State of Maryland Council on Child Abuse and Neglect.

     

    A published author, musical artist, and radio personality, her Breathe Again EP is on digital media outlets, and her latest book is entitled, Leading With A Left Hand. ''The Maximize Moment w/Dr. Lisa Weah airs weekly on WEAA 88.9FM's Gospel Grace Morning Show, and on her YouTube channel.


  • She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park; and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Howard University. Bishop Weah is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an adjunct faculty program director, instructor, cohort leader, and trustee of the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She is the CEO of LMW Enterprises and Vilomah Inc., a mother and 'glamma,’ whose life mission is to empower persons to live a victorious Christian life.

Pastoral Counseling & Care

Our goals in Pastoral Counseling are to guide and help individuals discover Christ-centered answers to a wide range of personal, relational, financial or other challenges. We have partnered with trained counselors, social workers, and other health professionals to service persons seeking guidance for a variety of issues including marital and family relationships, communication and intimacy, premarital counseling, parenting, grief and loss, anger and bitterness, managing stress & anxiety, healing from past hurts and abuse, reentry from incarceration, spiritual discouragement, and additional mental health and social services.
